A Voice From the Killing Fields →
niteflight:
Most of Cambodia’s musicians were among the two million slaughtered by Pol Pot. By chance Nik Cohn heard the songs of one - and, seduced, began a quest to find out what became of her.

Just renewed my flickr pro account
Thanks to a 12 month old invoice being paid into my account today.
I haven’t been shooting much lately due to a lack of motivation and humidity up around 4,000,000% during daylight hours. So instead: the first 10 photos in my flickr stream.

Going to Bangkok on Wednesday
To do list:
Get lots of film processed and scanned. Can’t wait to see these - they were shot mostly last September/October/November. Hopefully they’re not heat damaged..
Catch up with a mate from home, drink copious amounts of beer together.

Take photos

I’m heading to Bangers in June for a whirlwind R&R tour, and need to process 15-20 rolls of Velvia. I’m dying to see these shots from China and Vietnam.

nettra:
A very strong opinion along the lines of Theary Seng’s interesting TED Talk on justice and reconciliation, adding to the current debates regarding the Khmer Rouge Tribunal in Cambodia.
Thank you @jerruiz for sharing!
After seeing Thet Sambath’s Enemies of the People last week, I can imagine there’s at least one person awaiting trial that is very much responsible.
